Ascent is a proven, innovative Australian born and bred footwear brand. We started with a sporting shoe heritage and have taken this technology into categories of footwear that have not previously had this type of comfort and support; School, Business, Safety, Walking and Work shoes.
Ascent works very closely with special interest groups along with Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Amputee & Diabetes associations to make sure our footwear yields therapeutic benefits or aids in the management or prevention of various foot ailments.
We strive to achieve footwear greatness through the quality of our product, creative marketing, innovative systems, foot health education and dedicated support to our customers.
Children spend over 1,500 hours per year in footwear at school. Therefore it is important that their shoes are working with their developing feet by providing the right cushioning and support. At Ascent we have an extensive range of formal school shoes and cross trainers suited to school uniform policies, however most importantly are built to handle the activities children put them through. Available in multiple widths, sizes and various toe shapes to provide the perfect fit for growing feet.
Our Work range has been specifically designed for people on their feet all day with an abundance of cushioning, support and slip resistant outsoles. Over 20% of all accidents in the workforce are classified in the Slips, Trips and Fall category. Our Diamond Grip range is set to the highest standard of slip resistance giving you total confidence on slippery surfaces at work.
Exclusive to Ascent is our unique IIFit range of shoes that can be sold as a traditional pair, size 7 left and size 7 right, a mismatched pair size 7 left and size 8 right, or as an individual shoe either left or right. Selling shoes as an individual size left and right rather than a traditional pair helps achieve a customised fit.
We have used our sporting shoe heritage to make workboots you can run in! Our extensive range of workboots are tested and adhere to the highest International safety standards. The various styles in our range are fit for purpose in many work environments and provide comfort, support and safety to get through a tough days work.
We value engaging with the medical community to provide high quality supportive footwear. Our shoes are often referred by health professionals to their patients, as they are orthotic friendly, flex in the right place and provide the correct amount of support and cushioning. We are very proud that the Australasian Podiatry Council and Australian Physiotherapy Association endorse our School range.
As part of our social responsibility we are concerned about the health of people's feet. We advocate education to promote foot health and safety. We offer free foot health education programs in the following sectors: Safety toolbox meetings: the importance of correctly fitting safety footwear. Health & Hospitality industries: preventing Slips Trips & Falls in the workplace. School: learning left & right feet, tying shoe laces and basic foot biomechanics. Diabetes: what to look for in footwear. Through our education programs and participation in the community we hope many ailments suffered by the next generation will be diminished.
Engineering for comfort, sets our shoes apart. We biomechanically engineer all our footwear with essential durability, cushioning and support. We have a strict 'gimmick free' design policy, only utilising real proven technologies so that the optimum benefit is delivered. We take a special interest in developing footwear specifically for the wellbeing of growing families, whether for school, work or leisure.
